My redmi 4x unfortunately got into water. After dissembling I fount out that battery is dead (0V). Main board was cleaned with ipa, no visible damages found. After connecting power supply to usb, redmi tries to boot up (without battery connected) motor gives a short signal, lcd turns on (only black) and after 1 or 2 seconds redmi stops booting. Is it because absence of battery ?
The battery connector port gives 2.6V reverse polarization voltage so battery charger circuit works i guess. The only issue I found out is the power supply ic - pm18952, heats up almost immediately to 80 C is it normal, or IC is dead? Is there some test pads that I can check ? Should I try with new battery or it is pointless ? Any schematics available for pcb (Redmi 4X Global Version Snapdragon 650 based). Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
