Redmi Note 7 bootloader unlock works. It is not just connected in fastboot mode and pressed unlock. Follow instructions or other success reports. You need specific version of firmware on which you can unlock. You will have blank screen, but phone will be detected in fastboot mode. After unlock you will need to flash stock firmware
