there is no "charging IC" in dct4, only UEM which contains other energy management function also...

if battery is not at fault, then i think you have a problem in BSI line (battery sense indicator). maybe the thermistor is gone out of tolerances.

thermistor in BSI line is used for measure charging current, and cut off charging when battery full.

but try new battery first, as battery contains other circuitary for charging detect...
