Please tell us what power adapter you are using.
Smart-Clip suppose to work properly with Power adapter 9V 500mA.
Also please check cables, if you have tried to change USB cables and power adapter is 9V 500mA, please write a letter to support[at]smart-clip.com with log file and your serial numbers (Smart-Clip, S-Card) and description of your problem.
