Sim Lock Change Failed

hi, i recently bought a cingular nokia 9300, i want to use it with T-Mobile, so i bought an unlock code for it on ebay. when i tried to enter the code it said: SIM LOCK CHANGE FAILED. when i contacted the seller who provide me the code, he said, the phone is hard locked cuz somebody else tried to put a code in it already for 5 times. Now i think the phone is HARD LOCKED and i don't know what to do. I need your help guys.
