This is the final answer for this problem. I have seen this problem many times and i have the final answer. I will give you all the reason why this happens and the very easy fix to fix it. The story: Back in the old days metro pcs never used the universal code of "587846" for programming of the phones; just like sprint they had very specific codes for each esn. This is the same case for these older model metro phones. The answer: Get a metro spc code calculator and enter the esn that is shown in the *3001#12345#. If you cant get a code calculator you can contact me with the phone's esn and i will send the the code it needs.
