use yourunsintaller software to clean al apple installed softwares. meaning uninstall all software that are related to apple. maybe you have installed ipod repair software from apple.com? uninstall that also. after all apple softwares are uninstalled, restart computer then install quicktime latest version and itunes latest version and DO NOT INSTALL IPOD OR OTHER REPAIR tool software from apple. they have conflicts in DFU drivers. have experienced it and this is my solution.
