| sim-max.com products and comp128v2 a couple of things.
hey everybody - I'm a newbie to the forum.
I have already owned a ucables.com sim-magic product (while it was still officially sanctioned by the creator)...but I recently took delivery of the sim-max IV - a USB thing that looks like a memory key and is a really fast sim reader/writer
It installs a virtual com port - in my case COM8 - and scans it at 19200 bps.
I tested a Simpro (canadian GSM carrier) sim card (COMP128 V1) and it got the Ki within 16 minutes (no joke).
It cannot do COMP128 V2 now - (although the official company line - they are very friendly and professional btw - is that they are working on it at the moment)
Interestingly the software appears to be a windows graphical wrapper for dejan's sim_scan...it reports itself to windows as sim_scan 2.02 (but latest official dejan version is 2.0)...
Anyways - just wanted to let people know - in comparison to my 8-in-1 simmagic product the UI is far improved in the phone (you can upload the Ki automatically through software and never have to type it in) and you can switch numbers without turning off the phone...
Just thought people might want to know about this product...
