I had came across 2 sets of 4 locks for the Nokia 3310. and all cases are geniune without using any flasher or software before. Whats wrong with it. The imei is intact. 4 lock in FFFFFF closed mode. Tested it on the Nokia Tool. Some people saying that it is the Cobba faulty. But how to solve it? Any solution without changing the cobba. Can I use a full flash or upgrading to remove it?

Hi,

This is very common problem. There is this start up self test which check the Cobba parallel interface, but it;s look like the test is not reliable enough.

This could happen if you have broken ball under Cobba ( loose conn. ) or more possible some small <br />quantity of water under the chip.

So the the data still flow between the DSP and Cobba , but small impedance between data pins cause errors one security data and locks are calculated wrong.

Observe Cobba carefully, rework, clean, reball or even change.

Best Regards, Alex
