ghoul: you can't connect your N-Gage to the PC Suite with the USB cable (stupid, I know), you can only connect with BlueTooth (that means you'll need a BlueTooth adapter for your PC) - even then it's not the easiest thing in the world, but don't worry... you're not missing much.

N-Tools isn't going to help you, if Windows doesn't detect your phone. Try finding someone with a digital camera that takes MMC and format it with that (technically you can "fix" your MMC with a Memory Card reader, I have, but it's a little harder).
