| From my experience if the device has been jailbroken you can't use 'Erase all content and settings' option since iPhone will freeze during the process. You can use this option safely only if the device is clean (ie. without jailbreak). Otherwise you can make backup of photos & video manually (copy-paste files from My Computer) and for contact backup use iTunes -> MS Outlook.. Also, if you need to backup SMS, Calendar, Notes use iTools..
