anybody there with a jar/jad file for mobipocket ereader??

i'm a noob bb user. i was given a secondhand bb Curve 8520, without the sync cable and installation cd. i want to install some applications on the phone (ereader, games, etc.) but from what i've read online i can only install via OTA, through the desktop software, or copying jar/jad files onto the memory card.

another thing, can i just copy over the .alx .cod files to my mem card and launch the software from there?

also, can anybody recommend an alternate, more versatile ereader software that will work on the Curve 8520??

any help will be great. thanks.
