DOWNLOAD THIS FILE:
CF-Root Download - Extract the rooted kernel from the ZIP file you downloaded. You will get one file after extracting: CF-Root-XX_OXA_JVU_2.3.6-v4.3-CWM3RFS.tar.
- Launch Odin3 on your computer.
- Turn off your phone.
- Reboot your phone into download mode by holding down the Volume Down key and the OK button simultaneously, then pressing the Power button.
- Once the phone is in download mode, connect your phone to your computer via the USB Cable.
- Odin3 should be able to detect your phone. If so, the ID:COM field in Odin3 will turn yellow. If not, your phone was not properly detected and you should not proceed.
- In the Odin3 window, click the PDA button.
- Select CF-Root-XX_OXA_JVU_2.3.6-v4.3-CWM3RFS.tar.
- Under “Options” in Odin3, make sure “Repartition” is not checked.
- Click the Start button in Odin3. The program will start flashing the update file to your phone.
- Your phone will automatically reboot after Odin3 has finished flashing the update.
- Disconnect the phone from the computer only after it has completely rebooted.
Your Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000 should now be rooted. You’re now running Android 2.3.6 XXJVU firmware with root access on your Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000.
