jigs are an alternative but can never the replace the solder option. because it takes time to make the jigs. to be able to solder is very important, for sure should be the first choice and then to use or to buy the jigs.
i repaired now successfully my first i9100 and for me personally to solder wires is easier to solder the molex to use the jig.
