ipad 1 5.1.1 ask to activate, usb connected to pc, shutdown ipad, redsn0w .15b3-jailbreak, dfu mode on the ipad, finish jailbreak, hacktivated!
Usually on iphone, this method don't let you get network. don't know if 3g version of ipad 1 will have 3g network.
