OK, 1st. You don't "unlock" cdma. Flashing is what you mean.
2nd. If you mean unlock the spc or phone for programming then you have to use 16 password depending on which Android version you are on.
3rd. If you are 4.1.1 or below then you can use the default 16 digit password.
