I originally posted this in the samsung forum as that was the type of phone I got the error on....
I unlocked a A300 for a friend and tested OK with my SIM.
My friend's SIM gave this error... No Service, IMSI Failed.
What does this mean and what should I do.
An explaination of what exactly the IMSI is would be nice.
I understand it is a code on the SIM that the networks check but why would it fail to connect?
My first thought was that the card was programmed to work only with the phone it came with, but I don't know!
Any help is much appreciated.
