Flashed it to A53. The phone comes on until you try to use the menus. Then it looks like it has switched off. But if you look closely there are a load of numbers going down the screen! Can anyone either send me another working flash and matching LP or help if you know the problem please? THANKS!

Any chance of an idiots guide on how to reset it though please? There is nothing saying simply RESET! :confused: :rolleyes: :)

concat phone to cable .open cb2000.
(1) select Model
(2)click option handset power
(3) select data option in uper menu
(4) than settings
(5) than funcation clear (Memory Erase )
after that check ur phone .it will work fine ..

Try to reflash with A21 or A22:

Works fine.Tested by me!
Will get the phone back in the morning will post the results. When flashing does the LP have to match the main flash? If so do you have the LP for the files posted above please?
you can use any LP for these flashes (LPs are common for all versions)
but it has not helped at all! any other suggestions please?

flashed it with the above A22 flash and it just flashes as before! Are you sure 100% that the lp doesnt have to match? Because the LP is showing a version in its description?
at least on the GD87 I have here now is the A53 one. The other two A21 and A22 just make the phone flash! Has anyone got any other version flashes please?
I have managed to find out that the checksum has failed. Someone must know something here? Come on???
I have flashed it with A51 and it is now working perfectly!:p
I now know the reason why this happened. If you flash from a version earlier than A22 then you first MUST flash to A22 before upgrading. If not you will lose functions!!

not how to get original game....I have flashed my gd87 from a16-16 to a53-53 and working fine+I get 200 sms to save in mobile...
that i didnt have earlier.......but in main menu of the phone when I open Messages folder....first go MMS,SMS,e-mail.......could somebody tell me is it possible to set up that menu so it goes
like this SMS,MMS,e-mail...
and finally...is there a more advanced soft than cb2000 for internal setup but only for gd87

I have problem!
Iwanted flash upload hungary languange! Random , main flash load languange flash! Phone display blinking phone not powered on!
Then original flash gad87a21 and lang flash.
Phone killed? :-(
Any ideal?
@rico1 The reason it went wrong is that if the software version is less than A22 then it MUST be flashed to A22 first. Then reset with CB2000 and then upgraded. Otherwise you lose functions as I found out.
