Hi everybody,
This weekend was spent trying to unlock my new version A800 from the Vodafone network. By reading other forums i have managed it, and thought i should help those who dont have a clue save time and money!
If you are unsure if yours is the new or old version, take out the sim, turn on the phone and enter the universal samsung unlock code,
*2767*2878#
Nothing special will happen, just enter the sim from the network that was blocked and see if it works!
Whatever you do, do not enter
*2767*3855# as it could kill your phone.
If the first code does not work, dont worry: your phone is a new version. Instead go to this site:
http://abegsm.com/indexx.html
Click on Samsung on the left, then "Samsung flash A80XAVK3". This will download.
You will need a T100 cable (about £5 on ebay)
Open up the program once downloaded, having connected the fone with the cable, and taken out the sim.
Click on Main flash open, and select the file.
Then click second flash open, and do the same.
Choose com port 2. then press start. If it does not work, try another port.
This should take about 15mins. Leave the phone plugged in until it says finalised! then press stop, then exit.
Then repeat the first code i gave you and voila! Your phone is unlocked.
