2 days ago i got 7250i from a friend who flashed it with 7250 software and here are some results...
I flashed i with 3.22 NHL4JX soft and phone went to CS... Selftests from phoenix found RF AMP ID fail and SOFTWARE TYPE VALIDITY fail. RF calibration data, product code, hardware version and production date destroyed but IMEI data OK.
I flashed it back to NHL4J 3.12 and repair simlock. Phone was no more in CS but no TX... I did full factory reset but without succes.
After it, i did whole calibration ( energy management, rx calibration, tx calibration, snr calibration ) and phone now works OK, all functions working well but it is 7250 not 7250i...
If i flash it back to 7250i and do calibration, phone is still in CS just because of ST_SW_TYPE_VALIDITY FAIL...
I think that nokia just added somewhere in eeprom check for software validity to determine if phone is 7250 or 7250i and to prevent upgrading...Like 6210-6250 upgrade in old days...:D
7250 even does not have SW TYPE VALIDITY check in selftests options...
I hope that all above will help in future to solve this kind of prob...

but if i try to read PM values it shows read fail...should i restore 7250 PM without making a backup first ???

Yes write pm without backup. You can't read pm backup becouse pm is damaged. Just write pm file without section 5 (imei).
Don't make backup, You don't need it...Not from broken phone nor from working one...It can't be cloned...
As a matter of fact, don't write any .pm files...Flash mcu+ppm+cpp and do full energy management and rf calibration ( it takes time and requires high $$$ equipment )... If You clone pmm ou will still have bad or no network, phone will use HR codec,...
Best way to solve this mess is .ask and .rpl but...:D
Let's see who will add ST_SW_TYPE_VALIDITY checksum repair in their flashing tools...:D

NO..i just wrote 7250 PM with Griffin 2_02 and network came and phone became perfect (no need instruments worth $$$)...

just use griffin 2.02
click "serial" then "Important PPM values"

Hey Guys !
Solution is :
Flash 7250i with 7250 flash ,phone will not find network...in prodigy go to phone info menu and press tune net...phone will work fine...this is tested ! and also desctibet in prodigy forum !

Thanks Leslie for this info,but Im using Griffin Gold V206.Any ideas that can do with this box?

Im sure griffin also has some repair or tune net function...
read it's manual or read griffin forum..Im sure you'l find solution...
but I think you have to flash to 7250 with griffin to...
As I say,I had this problem solved very easely thx to Prodigy team !

Leslie,sad to let you know that I think Ive been banned in that forum,request for clarification from Mr Raskal no respond.I notice that if Griffin team dont likes you or they are been treated,they will BANNED you without notice EVEN YOU ARE A ORIGINAL GRIFFIN BOX USER.

I am experiencing the same problem "CONTACT SERVICE" I don't know how to get rid of the error? I got this error when I connected the DKU-5 data cable and now I dont know what to do:confused: Please help anyone :confused:
