I have a couple of quick questions regarding the samsung a800 mobile:
#1: Is it possible to use the samsung V200 data cable with the samsung a800 mobile?
#2: I installed the SGH-a800 easylink software v.2.0 & connected the mobile to the computer using the V200 data cable...unfortunately, it has given me the following error message:
"Cannot open port and this program is switched in offline mode. After, try to switce in online."
I tried swtiching the phone off, reconnecting the cable to the phone, turning the phone back on & restarting the program, but it still gave me that same error message. I also tried reinstalling the software, restarting the computer & reconnecting the phone, but I still get the same message.
I checked the port settings in the Control Panel & they are:
Bits per second --> 19200
Data Bits --> 8
Parity --> None
Stop Bits --> 1
Flow Control --> None
The advanced port settings are:
Use FIFO buffers --> checked
Receive Buffer --> medium
Transmit Buffer --> medium
Also configured the port settings in the easylink program itself to make sure the speed was set to 19200...still nothing!!
Also, the V200 data cable has 2 swtiches on it...one for D/L & one for Data...i tried switching between the 2...nothing!
Oh yeah...I'm also using Windows ME.
This is really getting frustrating for me! Please help! Thanks in advance.
