im nu2this, so dont kill me if i mess up..

i have a legit working 8310, but all tha microswitches (for the vol&pwr) have busted off inside.. i was given anotha legit 8310 which has a network block on the IMEI.

(juss so u know, sum1who works at a hotel gave the fone to me. if a guest leaves something behind after they checkout, they try contact the guest and if they cant get them, they hold whatever it is for a few months.. then they throw it out or dispose or give it away..)

i wanna swap the IMEI chip from my crappy beaten up, old softwared 8310 to the newer unbusted 8310.. cant imagine it'd be illegal either.. anyone know which chip it is? im guessing its the one marked 'UPP V811 4370815 19A2J9W' .. the '0815 number is the same on both chips on both phones.

and how the hell u meant2remove it? i read all these ppl rekon they changed it for a blank, to burn a new IMEI.. tha legs ov the chip are mostly underneath..

so, any1know which chip is actually is & how u meant2take tha old1out without rekkin tha board?

thanks..
ryno89..

p.s. im pretty sure i know how2get around tha IMEI thingo on 8310's, but then im worried if thats not good to post on here? i personally rekon IMEI blocking is a good thing for stolen stuff.. shame they cant do it with more things..
