please help me ... I have two PIC16F84A-04/P when i write any hex file to it with JDM programmer , it is written successfully, but if i try to read the file from the same PIC which i have programmed it does not shows anything just 00000 , why?
please help me as i m very much confused that me pic is good or bad?
checksum is 5E3F when i write but when i read it is 3BFF ..
and i am using 16F84A-04/P , but in the dongle scheme there is PIC16F84 only.. will it work? and when its the txt file downloded from the net its checksum is E2B9 on icprog...
what is the problem and how do i check the dongle is working or not and which software should i use?

yes it normal the pic is protected after is programed
it work 100´%
you can also desabled protect when you browst the hex file
befort white it in pic
in two Case the dongle work fine

Just tried it again and indeed the second link is working, very strange. The sagem 2.3 download does not appear to be though.

Hi I am going to have a go at making one of these dongles but I have never made one before and I have 1 question.
On the diagram between pins 15 and 16 of the pic it has "quartz 3.5795 Mhz" What is this?
