flashing problem with ust pro

Hi all
I have just bought Ust pro
Can anyone please help me.I want to repair the contrast of the A400 but i cannot see any repair seetings on A400 for ust pro version 2.75,SO i have Decided to flash the phone Now 2nd problem came it says Phone not found.

I am using chinesse box which have a switch and port a and b just to test my cable i have try to unlock the A400 with ust it unlock ok i have also try to relock to network this also work,then i have change cable and insert flasha300 cable and select the A400 flashfile and click make job same problem ......phone not found.

I have also change cable to port a and back to port b of the box and even the switch i have press it .when plug the A300 cable to the a400 on the screen it Show charging.Phone still not found.........PLEASE CAN SOMEONE HELP ME

Try to flash your A400 with A200 cable!!not A300

for contrast u can repair it from phone menu!!

i have try to flash with a 200 cable but it does not found the phone and for the contrast i have already try to change in the menu of the phone but it does help .

Hi all

Can someone please post 100% tested schematic cable for Flashing A300 and A400 with ust pro.If possible i need simple schematic for only flashing a300 and a400.i would also like to know if this schematic with work with ust pro.

I have succesfully flash the A400 but it is still low contrast ,I have also repair contrast by menu : *#0523# but still same problem.
Before flashing the phone was ok (only contrast problem) but now i get Limited service after flashing,I have try everything but i still get limited service ,i have flash the phone more than 10 times with all a400 flash but still same problem,I have rebuild imei,unlock ,etc....same problem LImited service.

I thought that ust pro could write Eeprom file to A300 A400 but it can not.I would like to know how to write eeprom .Can anyone Please help me.

I have also change imei more than 10 times but problem is still limited service .When change imei it says:-

Reading phone info...
Sw Version: ||{3/4>Eks
writing New imei...
Operation successful.

Why it read the Sw version like this,Is that correct?
I have try all but problem Still Limited service .
I thing Eeprom is damaged But how to write new eeprom A400 by using ust Pro.

Please Vsh help me i really need to return the phone to the client as it was.(that is only contrast problem)

The answer i got from FractalizeR is:-

Seem that your phone's flash IC is damaged....
Unfortunately it is impossible to write A300 EEPROM by software. You should desolder it and programm externally onprogrammer like UP-48.


But one thing I cannot understand is how the flash ic can be damaged .Because before flashing with ustpro ,the phone was working ok only contrast problem.but how can the flash be damaged after flashing.Does ustpro destroyed flash when write new flash?One thing more, the phone is freezing also and is still limited service.

I THOUGHT THAT THE CLIENT WOULD UNDERSTAND ,BUT HE IS TELLING ME TO RETURN HIM THE PHONE AS IT WAS,CAUSE HE WAS ABLE TO MAKE CALLS AND RECEIVED CALLS . THE ONLY PROBLEM WAS CONTRAST ,THATS ALL.But now Problem is Freezing and Limited service.



Please help me.

For repair Limited Service, NO NEED TO WRITE EEPROM !
Just write IMEI !!

you have problem in cable, because :
Sw Version: ||{3/4>Eks


You should:
-Short pin4 & pin5 on cable
-Port phone OFF and connect it to cable
-Phone will go to test mode, now do imei change.

@VSH 100% REASON

NOW WHEN CHANGE IMEI limited service is gone.Now i have full network but only one problem stay:-The phone freeze after 30 sec without touching any key ,I had to remove battery for it to turn off.

ONE THING IS THAT wHEN IT FREEZE AND IF I WAIT FOR 1-2MIN IT SAYS SEARCHING NETWORK THEN ALL WHEN OK THEN IT BLOCKED AGAIN AND FREEZE.
Can you please help me on this.Client is going to kill me .

Check back of phone, make sure your phone is A400 not A408 or others, then flash your phone again with any language pack.
all should be ok then..

Seems that DJyash has a severe headache in doing that repair for freezing in his SGH-A400.

Can anyone help please because i got same problem with an A400 a few weeks ago and i left it as it is since then.

Please help me to repair freezing and hanging problem in A400 friends.

What should i do????

Hi vsh

i have check phone ,it is A400 for sure .i have also reflash the phone it works ok and network ok but it continues to freeze i have done everything and flash will all different flash but same problem.

Please help me.

Thanks for replying Vsh-Gsm.


But i mailed him.

He said that he still get that problem and that the phone was working perfectly before flashing.

The only problem he had with the phone was that the LCD was too pale to see anything.

He thought that it was software problem, and that's why he tried to flash the phone with UST PRO.

And now the phone is freezing.


Me also i had the same problem with a A400.

At the back of my phone was written A400 but when i was connecting it to computer through InfraRed, it was detected as Samsung SGH-A408.

Is this possible my friend that the phone is A400 and the flash in it is A408?
