Hi,

This is the story:

On the CD that TDK sent out containing the Microsoft Bluetooth Stack, they also included firmware 524 for their device.

Since this was a major step (my Compaq device had FW 115 I think), I decided to do a little experiment and loaded the TDK firmware into the Compaq CSR device (Bluetooth MultiPort Module by Compaq (Compaq Part Number 234209-001).

Lo and behold, it now identifies itself as a TDK device (running FW 524)!!!

Also I have the 1.4.2.10 SP5 drivers installed.

I am now contemplating updating my Bluetake Poke 2 with the same firmware since it is on FW 272 (always looking for newer & faster bugs - and for that you need the latest & greatest...).

Ah, computers and stuff are fun sometimes....

Hopefully there will be some version 17.4 firmware upgrades available soon. The 523/524/525/526 version is 16.4, im hoping that when 17.4 arrives its got the stuff mentioned here..

Device firmwares seem to be quite tricky to get hold of though. I did manage to track down a copy of the tdk one you mentioned but it refused to recognise my MS bluetooth device and my MSI dongle is already on 525.

Wow, that would be a very nice christmas present. Especially native HID support would be great...

Great! I managed to flash my Compaq Multiport from v114 to v524 and install the TDK v1.3.2.19 without any kind of modification, since it is recognised as a TDK original. The problem is that I still get absolutely no sound when connecting to my HBH-60. I did not manage to get sound also with newer (modified) vesions of the stack before I updated the firmware. The odd is that I had no problem at all with sound when I was using my Mitsumi USB dongle. Can anyone point out a solution?
