Hi there all,

I am usually a Nokia person myself, but am finding the need to get into Ericsson a bit more. Does anyone have info about the schematic changes between the Nokia Data cable(61xx) and an Ericsson cable(688 for eg)? I make my own fbus and mbus nokia cables, but have no idea about the ericssons. Please can someone shed some light for me.

Thanks
Prodigal

Hello There,

You can use your cable by only connecting the Fbus lines (TX and RX and the GND) to the Ericsson phone.MBUS is not used!

Thanks for the info Rico,

MBus is not used? Will the cable not then work as a 'test' cable on the ericsson?

To be able to enter test-mode you'll have to connect pin 7 to pin 8 (numbered from left to right, with keyboard on the top).
