yo Hope everyone had a happy new year :)

I question is very simple...

When I am able to read my sim card (with a s/w I'm still looking for :)) What would I be able to do?

Would I need to alter the phone to get the modified sim working on it?

Thanx

Thanx SirGraham...
I've downloaded SIMEMU also...

However I was poking at the previous Threads and read talk about the phonecards to be re-charged...

What s/w would Ineed to read those cards... I know it can't be the same as the sim cards since they are two different architecture...

Any help on reading a phonecard and re-charging it would be cool!

Thanx Again guys,
Vinny P

Hi vinny,

The phonecards have, normaly, a eprom + rom. Depends of the generation of the card. Here, in spain, there is 3 generation of cards. This generation have a CRC in the SAM. This is a big problem to emulate this cards.

Normaly the people use a emulator, this emulator works like the eprom and change the value of the charge....

You need a especial reader. One sincrone reader. I use the Chipdrive of towitoko. This device read al kind of cards (ISO 7816).
But you can nake your device with easy. There is diagrams to the LPT port only with some diodes.

Sir Graham.

Well I would of guessed that the phonecard are ISO 7816 since it's the standard... I have an Mikobu III I believe I can use that?

Would you know if I clone the phonecard prior to use then reapply it to the card if it would work in theory it should but just wanna make sure :)

Thanx for your help SirGraham...
