For those who live in Singapore or Malaysia, make your way to Sim Lim Square in which there are several shops on the 4th floor that are selling this new software that comes with the cable for the particular series of mobile phones.
ATF Accessories is one of the shops selling this latest software in which it is able to read your phone's logos/images, tones, phonebook, java apps and so on.
It is by far better than OPM2, MobiMobile or other software available in the market. Furthermore, the cost of this kit which includes the software on the CD as well as the cable [USB to phone (something like the DKU5 cable)] is only S$49.
Just imagine that the original Nokia DKU5 cable costs S$80+ in which the software is not included with it.
Also, the advantage of this software is that it is able to read your phonebook from one phone and then trasnfer it to another phone using your PC.
Software supports Win98/Me/2000/XP.
Once I've the full name of the software, I'll post it up here for all.
Regards
Hey i'm in SG too..
i think the software you are refering to is the fone data suite provided by MobileAction. The handset manager software can be downloaded here.
http://www.matweb-01.com/English/dls-fds.htm
Unfortunately, I have not tested it out. So anyone who does please post your results.
The Infra red versions of the software can be found here.
http://www.matweb-01.com/English/dls-ir.htm
Unfortunately, they made some sort of protection so that only their MA-620 infra red usb port can be used with it Someone hack the software so we can use it on all Infra ports! =X
It has a nice SMS manager.. something that i really want.
Thanks for sharing with us, powser and nokiawiz!!

Howdy,
I downloaded the software and installed it. It won't work with an Official Nokia Cable. It also isn't better then OPM2.
Have a look at the screenshot...

I don't like it whatsoever...It won't work with my OFFICAL NOKIA CABLE plus the interface/features aren't NEARLY as good as OPM2....

burgerings,
Each of us here has our own unique preferences. :) It is also noted that not all software works with the official DKU5 cable. That is why they called it "proprietary".
Now you know why Nokia is number 1. They suck all the consumer's pocket! :)
Whenever there is a cheaper alternative, it is always best to give it a try. After all, if you don't try you would never know.
Furthermore, this software and cable is half the price of the DKU5 cable alone!
Thanks for the insight!

I think it's proprietary security of this soft
i'm not sure about having more functions than OPM, but it can do everything MobiMB can do + SMS + calendar + phonebook + MMS
Yes, they got explorer like interface like mobimb too.
other less impt things are inbult composer n gfx editor

Hi
I have this software... it works on all nokia and ericson and more phones but I think its looks a little cheep.... :)
vel it is an easy software to use.... for ringtones and picx and calender and phone nombers .....
you can download it here:
http://www.matweb-01.com/English/dls-fds.htm
I don't wanna compare OPM and PC Suite, but when i installed PC Suite for Nokia 6600, it seems too much bugs...
For example: U can install PC only into drive where ur operating system is installed...otherwise it's not working...

Why do you need a crack? The full version is available for download from their website.
I have to say that I always used to use this software, til I discovered Oxygen which in my opinion is much easier software to use! I still use the MA-620 adapter that came with it to connect Oxygen to my phone tho :)

I also in singapore too, handset manager is a very old software that come together with the mobile action infrared that you buy, the software was org written in chinese in Tawian but it only support tthe soft and only work with MA600( series com adapter infra red) for older version and the newest for java phone only work with MA620 (usb infrred). If you can make it with other band of infrared then the soft is useful orelese no point of downloading the program.

If you want to back up entire contents inc SMS phone book ring tones and even call register lists etc you can use original Nokia PC Suite(Content Copier)
for backup of gallery MobiMB works nicely.

doesnt work on my IrDA connection
no its not better than OPM2, at least with OPM2 you could evaluate it (trial or cracked) and OPM2 works if you disable McAfee from boot up, even Nokia PC Suite, MobiMB and LogoManger work on this comp, cracked or not
how can you say somethin is better when it doesnt work with some cables or IrDA? it might be a good alternate for some people, but no way by far is it better
That software is only for use with THEIR cable or THEIR ir. it's not free software -_-

Yeah, plus it's not the best software to work with...

that's up to your own perogative and perceptions. I've tried using the IrdA on my mobile (6610), its working fine! :) COuld be some of your COM port settings! :)
dun blame the s/w as it could also be a user fault or config fault! :)
