what means unlock?

sorry for this questions but i'm really a rookie!
i want to know the mean of unlocking a mobile and if possible i wanna know how i can unlock my siemens c60 with an original data cable!

If you don't know the MEANING OF UNLOCK.. so why u want to unlock it?


UNLOCKING MEAN.. if your phone is locked to specific network or sim card and YOU want to use another network or sim.. SO U NEED TO UNLOCK IT..

now i now that my mobile is not locked!!:)
i've thinked that locked means that in your mobile you have somethings(like logos or animation of a mobiles company) that you can't eliminate!this is what i've in my c60!:mad:
