I cannot flash or read BE1 / 4 with my standard data cable and someone says i have to modify it for power (External ??) Is this true and if so anyone help out with the extra pinouts??

pin2 gnd, pin4 +5v, pin7,8 rx,tx if i remember them corectly but pin 4 is sure!
and u need external supply!

Thanx for yours but what about the serial side?? How to connect the external supply to the cable?
Also do I modify the cable (Phone end) to also go into the charging port ?
