View Full Version : What is ICCD ??
Hi SIMEMU!! I have see your configurator and i have a question:
What Is The ICCD? I have inserted in my greencard a ICCD of my original Sim (one of three original sim) , is it correct ?. But ICCD is it checked by T*m (italian provider). Is it possible that the provider lock me ??.
Thank for your answer . Bye
(now in Genoa snowing !!)
ICC ID is the Identification # of the simcard and it is used by some phones for security purposes and administrative uses of the operators (for example in Spain, when the PIN2 is required to the operator, they ask for this number to return the PIN2).
Some people says that it is used for some operators to control the SIM authenticuty, but I have seen some models that never read this information of the SIM when another models read this information when they are registering the same operator.
I don't know what happends in Italy, but in Spain, this info does not travel through the GSM net.
Regards
Tim and vodafone in italy don't need the iccd...so you are free to decide to write it or not.
Ciao
