This program will extract the unlock code from your XDA II.
For this to be possible, a few steps are necessary:
1. The XDA II needs to be put in bootloader mode.
NOTE: THIS WILL WIPE ALL YOUR DATA SO FIRST BACK-UP!
You enter the bootloader by holding the Power button and the Action button
while pressing the stylus in the reset hole on the bottom.
In the bootloader mode, the display will be gray and say Serial at the top.
2. Next put the device in the USB cradle. The display will now say USB
and the first time Windows will detect a new device.
3. Disable USB in Active Sync in 'File -> Connection Settings'
Now the device is ready to extract the unlock code.
Type YES when you have completed the above steps and want to continue: YES
Communication port opened.
waiting for radio bootloader
reading first block...
reading second block...
Unlock code: 2040248
When you insert a blocked SIM in your XDA2,
you can enter the above code in the SIMlock box.
Alternatively, you can connect to the wireless modem
and enter the following AT command:
AT%HTCLOCK=0,2040248,1
Do not forget to enable USB in Active Sync again!

i have a o2 xda2 i am on o2 when i put my sim in it it will not make a call it dos't say it is blocked but when i put my sim back in my own phone it will work please help!! allso when i ring the xda2 when the sim is in it (my sim) it says can't connect? :confused:

Everything goes well but when I insert the code, I get the message 'invalid unlock code, 112 attempts, please wait for timeout'
It seems a lot of wrong codes were keyed in earlier.
The set is a XDA II locked to O2 network; any suggestions ???
I am trying to unlock a XDA II. I have downloaded the XDA II V 2.2 unlock program copied it to the SD card , tried running it and got that it is not a valid pocket PC application.
Please help me.

You use the sync station that comes with your XDA, you cannot damage your XDA its just a code reader, not a direct unlocker
I got it unlocked. the first file was corrupted ( Get the latest file from XDA-Forum). It runs directly from the PDA and unlocks it. Copy file to SD card and run. No need to Sync with PC
Hi, I just tryed XDA II V 2.2 unlock program and It stared on my O2 XDA IIi last night... and It is still runing... how long it will read?! and is it working for the XDA IIi?!

Will be there any solution to unlock XDA IIi soon?! There are some sites offering to unlock it via IMEI and Network code extracting program. The program extracts file that is very mish-mashed and I can NOT find any way to read it. So can NOT anyone to find a way to unlock it for free?!

There are 2 versions of XDA2Unlock.
The first one is the older version and it generates an unlock code on your XDA for you to type in. This was designed for the Wallaby (XDA 1-etc)
The second version (the one you all need) is designed to be run from your XDA itself and i've included it as an attachment below. It was designed for the Himalaya and Andes (XDA 2, 2i and 2s)
This was downloaded from XDA-Developers.com
If it works for you, please donate some money to them (after all you would have paid $20 to get it unlocked online, now you're getting it for free :D ) The site's completely free but if you donate, they can spend more time developing apps for XDA-etc instead of finding sponsors for the site
Once you download the file, change the file extension from .txt to .exe then run it on your XDA

Hmmm, ive got an Orange SPV m2000 which is the same thing, no luck, the PC vers reads first block and doesnt do anything else, the SD card version says "Failed to send ATZ"

yes it true but my phone is not bootloader mode l m pressing power on/off , jositick ( actions buuton) and reset button but my phone is open WHY ?

The initial posted question was 'how to unlock O2 XDA', well after reading all the posts about new versions, old versions etc I found the easiest way to unlock a O2 XDA 1 (not XDAII or equivalents) is to use the following link from xda-developers.com :

I've tried the mentioned steps, but I don't know which one is the Action button to get into the bootloader mode.
