well, what kind of cable are u using?
i am using a com cable (not original) of my sharp gx10i and i cant make it work too. :(
and u can get handset from here too: www.sharp-mobile.com

but in cd vadafone there are tools with special drivers and with this the software function
i have the vodafone cd. im from portugal, so, software is in portuguese. i will upload it to the first link i gave u.
but i cant make it work with my sharp :(
