I have loads of .mid files on my pc. I want to send them to my 6600 without bluetooth, infrared or cable. :)
So, i uploaded them to one of my webspaces and use opera web browser to download them to my 6600. they appear in the transfers section as *.mid. However, there seems to be no way of getting them to the tones folder.
Does anyone have a solution, or alternative way of downloading .mid files? :D
Thanks!
Harv.
Why U have to waste your time & $ like that, go for the big circle and get nothing.
Do U have MMC Reader, get 1 if U don't have. Only cost about US$ 15,.
With this U can direct drag & Drop your midi to the sound folder and Not only sound also pictures, etc U can drag & Drop.

Well, I just discovered one way. You can send the tone as an attachment to your email account and recieve it via Vodafone Live. It then saves it as a .Mid file and can be set as a ring tone. I'm not sure how much this will have cost. The price of an email I think.
However doing it this way you can't send it to people via anything.
But can you send any form of sound file to people?
Harv.
what is spv 200?
If I'm not wrong, SPV 200 is Orange SPV200 PDA phone. :D :D :D

Oh I see, I did wonder if there was a cost saving way. OK then.
But once i use card reader to do it, will I be able to send them to people via anything??
Thankyou!

A Question - Can you use card reader to transfer *.sis files to ur MMC then install them on your phone that way? :)
Damn, why didn't I realise this before!!!!!
Thankyou!!!!!!
Harvey. :) :)
Yes, from Your N6600, U can send pictures, sound/midi/wav etc to your friend via InfraRed or Bluetooth.
BTW U need application to do it, there are couples of them ,1 of them that I use is FExplorer.
U also can use SelectQ, etc......

Instead of doing that way, I suggest U 2 get an InfraRed, then U can do any job U want. :D :D :D

Does that mean you can't use a MMC reader for that job?
Because I just ordered one!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What about putting games on my 6600? Can MMC reader do that?
p.s. You are Very Helpful!
Can bloothooth do the same as MMC reader and other things?
OK.... Yes U can, but to complicated, in other word Not all job U can do with this MMC reader, but for other funtions it might have U a lot, e.g. : U want to transfer big size of files, movies perharp. Because with Infra U can transfer big files. :D
In the other hand, with InfraRed U can direct install app. from PC Suite 6600 or transfer the files then install in your N6600. ;)
So... I suggest U to have both equipments. ;)

Hey,
I bought a Belkin Bluetooth adapter, and it's wicked. Does every job :)
Has a little trouble in the initial connection, keeps saying "Remote Device closed the application". But works eventually. Someone else on the forum said that it's a problem with phone software.
But, do you know if you can send a blabla.mid file to an older nokia (The Black and white sporty one with radio, torch and rubbery material, can't remember model) with infrared from the 6600? My girlfriend wants me to send her polyphonic ringtones, but I can't figure out how!? Any clue? ;)
Thanks!
Harvey. :)

try to use file explorer eg: SeleQ, FE explorer ...
Then move *.mid to your tones folder.
