Just wanted to give everyone a little tip on the IntelliType software for the Microsoft Wireless Optical Keyboard for Bluetooth: you can use IntelliType 5!

This is what I did:
- Got the WIDCOMM stack working properly with my MS Bluetooth Transceiver, and installed the IntelliType 4.9 software off the CD.

- In notepad, open up [IntelliType Install Dir]\type32.inf, and open up the find/replace box. Tell it to find _VID&0001045e_PID& and replace it with &VID_045e&PID_ (Lion_III's fix).

- Updated the "HID Keyboard" device in Device Manager with type32.inf in IntelliType's install directory.

- Download IntelliType Pro v5 here (http://download.microsoft.com/download/0/4/4/04485C0D-2BDE-4EF7-BFCF-85A6B99E7FC0/ITP5_0eng.exe)

- When the installer asks which Keyboard you have, tell it you have the "Wireless Multimedia Keyboard".

--> You're done. Enjoy IntelliType 5.

Lastly, thanks to everyone on this board for the information about the MS Bluetooth Transceiver; with it, I would still be using the crappy things provided by MS.

Does anyone know if this trick can be used to get the MS bluetooth keyboard working with Win2k?

If not I might have a play with it if I can stomach re-installing win2k

Yep, the keyboard is correctly recognised without any tinkering.

Easier said than done getting the MS stuff to work with WIDCOMMs, how did you do it exactly? [I've tried Jon Scafes stuff]
