Hi all,

I have just been given an SGH-T500 mobile that comes up with "System Failure Contact Provider" after sim pin.

I have spent a couple of hours searching through the web for solutions and it seems I need software/cables to solve this problem. One solution I have read was to clean the battery terminals?? Anybody found that this worked?

If I need software/cables what exactly do I need? Where can I get it from (without it costing me an arm and a leg!). I am living in Australia. What steps do I need to take to fix this phone? Is this common with Samsungs?

I would greatly appreciate any ideas/help in regards to this.

Ok I took the back off the phone and cleaned it all up. There looked to be very minor corrosion on the bottom 1cm of the phone. It cleaned up nicely and looks good, no breaks in soldier etc. Unfortunately I still have the same problem. Next piece of advice?
