Motorola C300 - phone locked

Is there a way to unlock a Motorola C300 ?
My friend bought one in Australia and she wants to use it in Brazil but when we insert a Brazilian SIM, it ask for the correct SIM card.
I searched at the web and notice that some sites that used to unlocked it is not avaible any more.
Is anyone knows how to solve these problem ?
