Hi,
Having an MC60 for T-Mobile Austria and trying to flash to have other languages but no success! Freia_9 says "bootfile not accepted" I tried all kind of configs but can't read eprom. I want read it because it has sw10 and the lng is needed is in only 7sw update-tool. So, I thought it need to be downgraded to sw4 then upgrade to sw7. I wanted to have the orig eprom if something goes wrong it can be repaired. What the f..k is with this? Have a new chip? PLS help, if you could...

Maybe you have a new bootcore. That means, that Freia can't "recognize" your phone.

Try to cut testpoint, then you can flash it. But be careful, and always backup your phone before try flashing.
testpoint is nedeed 100%/ Using it You can safely unlock phone BUT be ceful with flashing!!!! I alredy have try dovngrade v10 to v07 using fubu, But phone is dead :(
I have good beckup of v10 BUT I CAN`T flash it to phone! flash proces go on but phone theris not flashed ( Then I write to phone full beckup from ather MC60 v10 and try ulok it using Grifin CDR, CDR read EEPROM IMEI and OPT IMEI - IT IS SAME! so phone was not flashed )

Sounds like the same problem i have. If you find a solution please give us some info, my mc60 is dead too.
I look for solution too! But noone can help us now :(
Thanks, guys. In this case I won't flash just unlock it. I just wondering what happens if I try to flash with a fubu from a v10 phone? Anyway fubu contains eeprom area or just firmware?
fubu contane eeprom too (14mb for MC60) But in my case I can`t write me fubu beckup v10 to phone too :(((
I have the same dead MC60,
do not know which version it was before, but i am sure that it is software killed.
Made test point and flashed with around 2-3 flash files, after that unlock , but without success.
Can someone post link or send me Fubu ver.10 to test.

V10 fubu not helps You :( New MC60 v10 is unflasheble using any soft from market now :(
I have used testpoint for flashng with V_klay, Freia9 and MC60Tool by SebaGSM.
Full flash is acceptable from phone, i think.
But i think there is difference in eeprom address in new version, so that`s why we can not power on the phones.

I think, we should wait till the official sw updater is issued on www.my-siemens.com. Unfortunately, now they have only sw7. So, I won't test flashing it.

Sorry man ! Maybe not need to cut testpoint !
First, check your cable, then still "bootfile not accept" restart PC and retry flash.
I've unlock and flash near 10 pcs of MC60 without testpoint.

Yes, but you have not unlocked sw 10! I have also unlocked many MC60, but that is sw 7. That is easy.
WARNING: Do not try to download your MC60 sw 10, it kills your phone!!!!! We have to wait for software solution.

Sure, you're right, but my original problem was change language & unlock! The sw-updater app from Siemens could solve my lang problem. Anyway, now I tried to unlock it with Freia_9 (I prepared the testpoint) but Freia can not update IMEI blocks.
Shall I try with other sw?
