how to get Nec e616 unlocked!

I have a NEC e616 which is locked, i need to know if it is possible to unlock this phne thru remote unlocking? and any link where remote unlocking is possible? help would be appreciated.

the nec unlocker is a FAKE piece of software that just makes up a password for you.
please do a search first, so you know what happens when you unlock the phone.

yes, it looses lots of stuff. you should be able to dial and receive calls, sms MAY work, camera MAY work.

what network are you using

just cos it works on one network, one country, doesn;t mean it'll work in another.

Could you check the software version please :-

Here is how to show phones software version:

What I'm trying to find out is whether my lack of success of the 4960 unlock method is down to :-

a) the software version of the phone
or b) the network provider

If phones in your country are successfully being fully unlocked by the 4960 method, and your version of the software is different from mine, flashing the phone with your software may be a solution here.

In grasping at straws here to find a solution. Any help/ideas would be appreciated.

nope, nothing changes on the unlocking front. (except that the new batch of e313s in the UK can;t be sim unlocked due to software change.) Also the e313 is virtually dead now, its been given away for less than £20 - and seemingly free when you get a certain credit card! - but haven;t fully confirmed that one yet)

errr.... NO. do a bit of research first and you;ll find the answer. its not difficult, use search. By posting your IMEI here you have proved you've failed to first, read the sticky, secondly, read anything else on this forum. imeis irrelevant to anything.

i'm from Belgium, and i want to use it with BASE (belgian operator)
i unlocked the phone, but now i want to have imode on it. I'm nothing with the 3 online service, and i think i can replace that with imode.

I've managed to unlock my old E616v with a modified cable and by downgrading the software. Then I sold it on eBay ;-)

If you are near Chester I can try to unlock yours for £5, or want to post it to me then £10 inc return postage. If I can't unlock it then I'll refund the difference minus postage. Do not ask about phones that have already had 3 unsuccessful codes entered, as I can't do them.

I may also be able to unlock E228 & E313's but haven't tried them yet.
