View Full Version : Contact service
Today a got one 3110 with Contact service, please tell me how to repair it.
Thanks ARS
The "Contact Service" error is in the eprom, so open the phone read the eprom and repair it with any soft what can recalculate checksumm for nokia or put in the eprom the content of another phones eprom without Contact Service. If you do the second way you will get all four network codes locked but you can put back again the original eprom backup, with Contact Service, and this time on the screen of the phone will not apear Contact Service.
Good Luck

I have only repairer by Guar and this one is only for 5110,6110, can you send me a repairer for 3110? Thanks ARS
Well as from my experience 3110 may be cloned. So you can easily upload other eeprom content and the phone will work properly only it will have another IMEI. But this is case only if CS is because of some eeprom problem. Remember, CS may become from many reasons, sw or hw, so try and see. If you need some 3110.bin file, email me, I'll send it to you. hi
check on the pcb on ASIC, if you have a cable bridge ...
Solder the wire from pin 123 on D151 (BART ASIC) to the capacitor C329 (minus side).
test with wintesla what contact service you got!!
do with wintesla a factory reset, this will help on most times on this mobile.
best regards Y2K ;)
Thanks to all...nothing helps is it a hardware problem.

Usually not is hardware problem, any change in flash memory will cause checksum error. The phone will display “Contact service”.
If you have original flash file, just restore to phone, or get another full flash file (same version), and keep them from 000000 to 1CFFFF (cut out 1D0000-200000). Copy to the phone (using Dejan flasher). It will fix flash file checksum problem!
We're talking 'bout 3110 :) and ARS I have one more solution - maybe it'll work. Install Wintesla (if you already don't have it) and drivers for 3110 (nhe-9) and crack for them, then run Wintesla, and perform complete reset of your phone. Maybe it'll work...it's worth a try.

I miss using my soldering Iron too, now that
almost everything is Micro BGA!!! I stopped
drinking coffee for almost 7 months now just
so that my hands will not shake a lot when
I try to put the damn chip in the outline!
