i would like to help new members on this forum(as i read many of them are completely confused) how to use imei/esn rebuild/repair function.
this method is for original nokia service tools (fps8 etc) using phoenix software ofcourse,but is not big diference with other flasher's (griffin etc).
ofcourse i have erase nokias e-mail adresses for *.ask files.
i remind you that you can use any *.rpl file (with other imei) if you have changed UEM(with empty OTP) but must be the same asic type.this means that you don't need to pay for same imei calculation
please give me ftp to upload this file.

Yes, but then you will have many phones with same imei number?! Or isn't it?!

ASIC2 - almost all DCT4 expect
ASIC5 - x650 phones
ASIC6 - as i know now its only 6230 and newer Nokias?!
But these information you can read with tools like UEMTools and others!

6820 is UEM ASIC Type 2 phone!
and you have forget to say to the new members that they can erase only one time the rpl on the new uem .if havent sucess you must change again the uem

7610 is ASIC5 so any RPL ASIC5 will do the job without problem

Sorry for being such a newb, but since you offered to help, I would like to ask a few questions. First, what are UEM, and Asic? Second, Can I upload a IMEI to a Sony Ericsson T637 with the Terminator Dongle, and Div software? And third, If I upload an existing IMEI, and change the MIN on the same phone I upload the IMEI to, would it work? Or would you also have to have the SIM card? Just a couple of questions for educational purposes. Thanks! :cool:
UEM: DSP-Processor and Security Chip with OneTimeProgramming-ID in Nokia Phones. For DCT-4 there are 4 versions ASIC 2, 5, 6 and 7
SE 637: Don't know. I assume not. Ask in thr SE-Section.
For use a SE 637 you always will need a SIM.

why someone said that if i put ASIC5 file to 3660 it will blink and become 3650???
is he too dumb????<<---i think so.....coz it is impossible 3660 if we don't full flash and just write IMEI will become 3650 right????
and last...how about 7250i, not 7250 it is also asic5??? or asic2????

use any RPL ASIC5 from this colection for your 7610 it will work 100% IF YOUR UEM IS EAMPTY
yes 3660 is ASIC5 but normal RPL file like above will not work since NOKIA has done special protect ( ST SW VALIDITY ) same also for ASIC2 7250[i] and 6610 [i] so he is not dump :p

RPL must same the oranginal IMEI on ur phone , then u reflash that will be show u correct !

there is 3 kind of rpl:
1.rpl calculation when imei missing from flash epromm.
2.rpl for empty UEM's(empty otp area.)
3.rpl to repair 7250i and 6610i.
now in many models you don't need rpl's cause there is patched mcu to fix the problem.

@platijet if I replace used flash from a nokia 6100 to another 6100 imei will be
????????????? how to solve it,I am sure the uem imei is ok cause when I read ask from the set the imei match the sticker imei.It is the same thing to preserved the original imei I must pay ask to rpl service else replace UEM than
write any asic2 rpl to the phone?I confused with the procedure before & after
change flash Ic's.Must it be a new flash or I can use 2nd hand flash.I do a lot trial & error I even move a pair of working uem & flash to that phone to solve the contact service fault but it remain the same.I even replace a few upp as well.The original upp (v8210E,4377021) i replace it with 3100 (v8210,4370931).Pls help,thanks in advance.
