NHL-4U Phone Data Package Installation

NOTE! AMS Phoenix release 2004.08.5.42 is required. The previous data packages
made with older templates must be manually uninstalled from the Windows control
panel "Add / Remove Programs" before installing the new DP.
Close Phoenix before starting installation of the Data Package.
MCU software release 05.63 + language packages (PPM) + content packages.
New and updated ini files:
- Flash update package 03.00.000 (FPS-8/FLS-4 prommer software update)
- Just installing Phone Data Package is enough for updating FLS-4
- Update FPS-8 software after installing Phone Data Package:
1. Make sure that FPS-8 box is connected
2. Open Phoenix
3. Select Flashing - FPS-8/FPS-8C Maintenance
4. Answer OK to dialog that asks if you want to update the
new prommer software
(4.1 If dialog does not appear for some reason:
4.1.1 Push Update button
4.1.2 Select file Phoenix\Flash\fps8upd.ini)
5. Wait until update is completed
Installation package includes
- MCU software release + language packages (PPM) + content packages
- Flash update package (FPS-8/FLS-4 prommer software update)
- NHL_4u.ini file, that includes
- names of flash files
- options used in flashing
- list of settings that can be saved from customer's phone when
updating software
- <product code>.ini files, that define
- language packages that belong to each product
- default settings for each product
- Default SW setting files (MMS settings, WAP bookmarks etc.)
- User interface configuration file for Product Profile tool (nhl4.ppu)
- Label printing files (nhl_4ulbl.ini, *.pcx)
- nhl-4uen.val includes product type specific module information for Faultlogger
- readme.txt (this file)
Known limitations/problems:
- Reading/writing some settings may show an Error, but should not cause failing of
the whole flashing procedure.
