HELP : C100 hang with test mode on startup.

my C100 display test mode ( 3 colour strip ) when power on, even when charging. Nothing happen ( hang ) when any key are pressed. I can't turn it off.

i've try :
1) repair sw fault with UST
2) reflash with several version of firmware, 2 or 3 times.
3) write new imei with UST

all not working. i can do 1) 2) and 3) successfully but when i switch on the same 3 colour strip ( test mode? ) appear, and just hang. i've to take off the batt to turn it off.
Please could anyone help/advice...Thanks.

Check for wather damage,system conector pins specially,clean it or replace.

thanks for quick reply..i will open the unit.. and inspect/clean the connector..i dont think for water damage.. this c100 belong to me and never fall on water :)
any way THANKs alot.. i'll try cleaning the connector.. and i'll post the result here.

remove lcd then wash with ultrasonic.
then resolder lcd again.

i've check/clean the connector and pcb... seems ok. try to reflash again.. same problem ( 3 clour strip ) happen at startup.
Has anybody has the same prob?

i had one with the same problem.
repaired by WinImei newest version IC100_ServicePGM_1008. There is function API init (8+H). Just click on it and everythink was OK.
Test it may it help you.

i've download winimei..
and try to use API as suggest.. but the phone cant connect.. port initilization fail. i cannot change the com port, its set to com2...

i use s300 cable with modification to bring the test mode ( pin 4&5 shorted )..is that ok? Is there any other software i can use..that has the API function as winimei?

So sor WinImei i use A300 unlock cable to put the phone in test mode.
after use modified T100 (or original) on "COM 1" and read phone with winImei.
after made "API_Init".
It must work if you use right cable, and good battery.

mate, you must put the phone in test mode first (three horizontal colored lines on LCD)

i know my cable is ok.. before this i've done flahing, unlock etc... and i know
what is 3 horizontal colored on lcd is (test mode)..

this c100 has problem before ( hang with blank display ) and i manage to repair it with flashing and repair sw fault by ust. but this time it's wierd problem.. hang with this 3 coloured lines like on test mode.. ( U have the same problem before? )

compare to UST5.6, Winimei has API INIT function as u mention...i never use winimei before..and if it really works for u to solve this prob.. then i'll try my hard with winimei.
i wish that i can solve it myself and dont have to sent it to repair shop.

Finally...
My C100 back to live! this is how i solve it..

prob : phone start with 3 line colour (test mode).
solution : after try many software and fail, i decide to open C100 casing once again and do cleaning at all ic's and connector..and switch on..Wow..the phone can start normally.. :)

but something else happen , there is no network.. :(

prob : no network.
solution : after flash with several fw and use ust to unlock,rewrite imei, repair sw fault still fail.search this forum and found c100e2prepair fw. flash it..and the signal (network) just come back..!

to Stoyan : i think API INIT ( winimei ) is same as REPAIR SW FAULT ( UST ).

Mostly the test Mode Prob in Startup is basically the Problem of Charging jack where we Put our Cable
For Moist + Dust , the PIN 4 & 5 Short & the Phone is in Test Mode
They Very Safe & Best solution for this that " Take your tooth Brush , Put a few many Drops on Thinner to that & wash Your Jack from OutSide . 80% solve this Prob & for other 20% , you have to open Your Phone & resold you Jack !!


All is OK & its very easy
you can use a little of your mind
just think when we make our testmode cable for C100 , we Short Pin 4 & 5 to put Phone in TEST MODE

When you see the Faulty Phone ( with Start-Up test Mode ) , you'll see the Charging jack , & you'll noticed that Charging Jack is looking Dusty !!!


for Signal Prob
no need to do any repair File or anything else

If you have UST pro , then Just do "Auto Celibration Data" & then "Repair SW Faults"
All repaired

or you can also flash with Full Flash Files to solve all Software BUGS ;)

i had repair this , it was my cabel problm . i were use flash cabel , but its repair by , sw repair cabel, i attech sw repair cabel , my phone gone to test mode,then i sw repair by ust 5.6
