View Full Version : Code that worked for me.
This code is not like the others I've seen. I was succesful. Hope it works for you.
First insert a non-3 sim and when it says "Enter Usim code" -just wait a few seconds, itll ask for the sim-lock code - enter 00000000 and itll say "simlock off".
Now you can use the phone but ALL the functions such as camera, call, sms, mms and so on wont work. Just enter #4960*12345678# ("123..." Can be any number you want, but I used this one since its easy, its your 'password' so remeber it.), itll disappear when you enter the last letter, ie '#', nothing happens but thats how it should be.
Now enter *4960*12345678*12345678# and itll say "simlock on". Its now locked to the simcard thats in the phone, the non-3 one! And all the functions are now working!
As you have seen, everyone is getting different responses. Best of luck!
I'd be happy if anyone in the uk could say they also had succes with this code. Get posting!
I tried this code set up on my NEC e616.It lets me onto the home screen n then it comes up USIM lock on when i put in the last code but i still cant access the menu or make calls.
Is it only certain versions or what?
Any help would be gd
cheers
So far, I have only tried this with my e313 in uk. Do you live here too? If not, this may be a reason but I am not certain. Anyway, best of luck with you getting it unlock.

FYI
In the Uk version of the e313
using a vodaphone simcard,
I CAN send text messages,
and I CAN access the phone book.
slinkynu, do you live in Uk, or is it just a UK phone? Post back. Thanks.

I live in the uk, and bought the phone last week in argos. Don;t know fully what other features may be disabled, cos the phone was going straight onto ebay, and I just tested the essentials.
it must be possible to fully unlock these without a testpoint. If you read the stuff that comes with the phone it says Three will unlock the phone after a year. This means they must have the unlock code sitting on there servers for each phone.
where does it say three will unlock it after a year

mms won;t work.
i can receive calls.
I swapped the vodaphone for an o2 sim in the e313, and now can;t text. Have to get in using the 112 method, as the phone reverts back to 3g after switching off. this could have something to do with using 4960 method too often.
Gonna leave it till a proper full unlock method comes out.
Anyone have fubu for this phone yet?
slinkygnu, when you tried to unlock it again, did you enter the eight zeros first?
also what is fubu?

Just tried the 00000000, didn't work.
FUBU full backup of flash files.
If the Croatian phone works, I'm thinking if we can find a way of flasking the UK phone with the Croatian flash files, when we use 4960 method, we could get access to contacts and mms
how do you know your software version, slink

thanks slink,
maybe there if you unlock it (as you did before with 000..., then 4960), THEN use the *#7320# it will lock it to the sim in the phone that you wish to keep.

Unfortunately no one knows the password for 7320 or 3210, the ones that need unlocking.
The USIM card lock (4960) password isn't the proper one either.
this is proven cos when you do the 112 trick, you can enter ANY 8 digits for the 4960 password and its accepted.
slink, do you think that the passswords for these codes (7320..) could be any eight digit number? Post back.

thats a very good question that I've been thinking about.
the way 3 unlock these is to attach to the rear of the phone (under the battery, below the warranty strip). What they download into the phone I don't know.
If unlock by code was possible they would just do it using 7320, cos its easier all round. No need to buy hardware to do it.
However, if an 8 digit code unlock was possible, you'd need to write a script to try the 99,999,999 different combinations possible to unlock.
The code for *#7320# may or may not be the same as the *#3210# code.
As *#5830# gives you 3 unlocking codes ex. :-
4844 4464 - constant number (these are my numbers, yours may be different)
8444 4444 - changes every time
4114 4495 - changes every time
we know NONE of these codes unlocks anything, and the screen shows the codes too quickly to write them down and try to make out any pattern in the (seemingly) random numbers appearing.
Whats the point of these codes appearing? Either it keeps me amused for a bit (doubtful) or they're encrypted. There is also a LOT of 4's in these numbers. Why.
What someone needs to find out is what 3 do to unlock the phone, whether this can be bypassed by test point, or what the unlock codes actually equate to.
I'm still trying to work this out.
