I have one nec e606 with this strange problem,, after power up with or without card it say:
Defaulti IMEI
Please insert u sim ........
when try to put 3g card inside or test card nothing happend.....
any solution for this ??

corrupted e2prom
get your hands on a gsm test sim (motorola card) put that in and it should give you the option of pressing yes or no.
at this point press yes and go thru all settings and reset them all to default.
power the phone down properly, DO NOT PULL THE BATTERY OFF.
your phone should be working!!!!
note.......if no option of yes or no on the screen, bin it.

e2prom is corrupt, to fix the problem is 5 years in prison :confused: thanks to our clever law enforcement and government agencys, making such draconian laws :rolleyes: .
this now forces you into making the chioce, upset your customer and lose trade :mad: OR fix it and do your job AND GET 5 YEARS :D

Man this forum is not based in UK and is it your real name Pooley? To not be able even to discuss what software fixes this issue? Are you the author of this software? If you afraid that you will lose bussines from this thats another story of course, but please dont b.u.l..s.h.i.t.i.n.g us with such statements.

anyone know how to solve this problem?
I think u must pull up the eeprom and reprogram with a good eeprom .
