View Full Version : SimScan Card don't send answer to reset
Hi, i'm italian and my english couldn't be correct...
I've tryed to use SimScan v2.00 with a SMouse/Phoenix (i tried also with millenium prog) but I receive always the same error: Card don't send answer to reset! I tried to run SimScan on a pc with an AthlonXP cpu and also with a PII notebook processor. The SmartMouse has external power supply.
I'm trying to read my "WIND" operator's sim card, it should be a 32k sim, but I don't know other information. I'm novice in this sector, so i can't understand the trouble... Someone can help me, please???

the card itīs ok? with other card give the same error? have you tryed with woron or sxim???
The card is ok (i think), i use it regularry to call and receive... but i can't try to read other sim because i've only this. The hardware works correctly. What can i do?

try with another software
how you know that hardware itīs 100% ok?
I thing, Check your hardware first.
1. Clock output ok?
2. Reset line from computer ok?
3. Data line ok?
I have same problem when I start to learn this project.

I use Woron1.07 and it's no problem. If you get this error, maybe the frequency is too hi, tri 3.57. Maybe the kontact with sim is bad.

Yes, the hardware it's ok because with software for satellite cards works correctly, but SimScan and cardinal gives me that error.
I don't know what type is my sim... how can find my sim's kind?

...ahhh I forgot...
the clock! I tryed to set it @3.57 mhz and also @6 mhz both for SMouse settings and for Phoenix Settings!
I tryed also with millenium programmer, but it has no settings jumper.

becasue SIMSCAN use a very short ATR waiting time setting and many SIM cards have been used a long ATR waitting time, so SIMSCAN can't get the ATR (Answer To Reset). you just can try the others sw.
Use WinEx... click the magnifyng glass...

Hi, i downloded woron scan 1.06 but when i launch it, the application remain blocked (or locked??? sorry 4 my english!) and don't runs! With what other software i can try? I don't know other software for sim scanning can someone links me something? thanks

If you use Win98, you need winscard.dll - take it on DllWorld for example.
No, i'm using win xp on a pc and win 2k on the other pc.
I tryed to run woron scan on win 2k pc. The application runs correctly, but when i launch any task i receive always this response:

Can't select 3F00 file
I set the hardware's jumpers on phoenix mode @3.57 mhz and i set it on COM1. The software settings are phoenix interface, COM1, speed 9600 b/s - 3.57 mhz

how do you find Ki using woron scan ?
can you save it as a data file?
