3.1 could not reset security code! I ask many technicians and the answer is NO.
Until now, no technical solution for that has been found except typing 10,000 times of 4 digits or send your mobile back to NEC!
I have one and I put more than 500 times. Finally, I found the code. Now my phone is 100% unlocked. :D :D :D

"It sounds like your phones small NiMH battery is not working correctly. What this NiMH battery does is last about 5 days to maintain passwords time date ETC. when you put a charged battery in, it automatically recharges the NiMH battery in case your bat runs flat and is left like it for a while. You can open up your phone yourself and replace this battery (not advised) OR you can just send it back to 3 and get a replacement, which is what I would do."

This mean that removing the battery from phone for at least 5 days would descharge the small inside-NiMH-battery that keep the settings (among them password) so they'll be reset to factory default next time you put the battery

for sure the settings (date time passwrd profiles ....) are stored in a volatile memory, a cmos mem with a battery

there should be a way to discharge this battery or short it :confused:

Right, someone who did it should show us the chart that point out where the ni battery is, because most of us are not very technical.

I had an E606 without battery for a month and still has his security phone code intact.
