Newbie Questions!!!!

Hi all

First of all great forum, i have a few question to ask before starting this new project :

I'm in the uk on Orange using i think the latest sim card, i also have an Infinity USB Phoenix Programmer which I'm able to read some information from the card using Sim EMU 6.01 CFG, I've yet to find the KI because I'm not sure which program to use for this.

My questions is this. firstly are there any good tut out there that can help a newbie in this field? i have tried to understand gsmsolutions tut but to no anvil

Which program should i use for reading the KI?

Which card do i need to be able to clone this simcard Greencard2 or Silvercard? and where's the best place to get one from? been to greencard.com but there in the usa

and finally is there anything else i should know before trying this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm only a newbie at the moment

use Dejan SimScan 2 for reading ki,
reading is risky (may damage ur sim permanently)
u can clone ur sim to any green, silver, gold,,,, etc
depends how much memeory and phone numbers u need to store

dont think you can clone your british sim cos most uk sims are v2... since long time back. sorry..

Thanks for the reply, that would explain the reason for not being able to read the KI number with Simscan v2.

Update : and i've killed my sim card trying.... just phoning Orange to get a replacement :)

In uk you can clone just old orange sim cards, nothing to do with other networks, I have 2 old orange sim card cloned with sim scan.
