Dear ,

I have a siemens C60 v26 -> the java patch is not working anymore ???
Is there another solution except cutting tracks ??

You can simply downgrade firmware to v23, or below with WinSwup. And apply patch.

Use search or browse forum. And you can get answers for all your questions.

Hi, I have a c60 V.26 but can not downgrade it (to V.23 with winswup). Do you have any sugestion?

My phone wasn't factory v26. I upgraded it by myself to v26 and donwngraded it again. That was no problem for me...

Mine is factory v.26. I tried to downgrade to v.23, v.20, v.4 (all with winswup) but no success. Will using testpoint be the only sollution?

If that won't work for you, yes.

But what does winswup show? And how do you try to downgrade?

Hi Chris2,

What I did:

start winswup for that old version
connect cable to phone
switch phone on
press start
get message "are you trying to update sw ...... do you want to continue?
press ok
then at the and got message something like sw update is refused by phone.

looks like hard-/firmware lock to sw update?

yes! that's right, there is hardware lock
on all new phones without bootcore bug

Did anybody try to unlock this v.26 with martech or by cutting track?

Or perhaps someone can modify the java midlet for patching.. or make software to force downgrade ... or to calculate unlock codes .. or ... ???
Anyway I think it should be possible to unlock it by software because siemens has to provide a way for gsm operators in order to unlock it after a year right ??

Come on software developers/hackers .. sure you can do that ;)
