I have made the cable as shown on photos, when i click on UNLOCK and power ON just after it shows "Operation Failed" ?? i tried with with two connectors and N22i cable powered by 9V battery...

look the schematics here.
The best is too use a Nokia 8310 headset connector with nec 22i cable or lg510.

9 Volt is too high.
4.5 volt is enough.

cheers , just made the lead and unlocked my first o2 x2 , I did use a 9v battery tho what battery is used on the video on your webpage ?

Had another one of these to unlock, as UHK said first one we did was fine. This second one the battery connector came off as the progress got to 52%. Managed to get the phone to reconnect and progress then to 82% but got an error saying interger value overflow? (i think that is what it said) definately interger overflow and software crashed. Tried with the phone again and just got the interger error, no progress at all.. any ideas?

You got success before with other phone , or this is his first phone ?
What happened exaclty if you try to make unlock more than once ? ,
is progress always stopped on the same place ? ...
is the battery charged ?
which other sw is running on your PC when you try unlock benq ?
also cable can be problem too , or some pbs with protection ...
also , which win system you use ?

if you have remove the batery during the unlock , so let's you try to do the same with panasonic 67 /87 =))
after this any pb can be appear .... if so , you need tool for repair or clone , but not for unlock.
anyway is necessary to know all details ... step by step , what you did.
actually benq is not so easy to kill as pana , but ... sometimes the same story happened with any other model ... nokia too =)

tested is second fone all is ok
i did win98 no other software running same config as above just move the head with power botton inside and outsite must detect fone and process will start like 34% 84% writing >>>>. and operation succesffuly or finished

Yes we have successfully unlocked one phone already. There wasn't any other software running on the computer. The battery connector popped off during the unlock process (at 52%). I then attempted to unlock the phone again and it went to 82% and i got interger overflow error. The external power battery popped off, not the phones battery. Th ephone still powers okay.

Now phone is unlocked :) using xp with only furious dongle software on

For me on 2 new dell notebooks nothing happens i made a cable from nec cable also have purpose built cable 5 different cables on xp nothing happens
and my nec soft still has no working key this is after 3 weeks

Nec cable didn't work for me.. LG510 powered with 9V battery worked fine.. try to move the 8310 connector when the soft is detecting the phone.. otherwise i think benq cables are availble now..

For cable this is easiest way to make one:
Get G50 cable from teleway.
Open block in middle of cable.
Then switch wires in the following way:
Green, replace with red
White, replace with yellow
Red, replace with white
Now just put block casing together and all ok

I use n21 with 2.5mm nokia headset 4 pin and get error respons with furious i get
Unlocking...
Press Power button...
Operation failed !
lg510 cable 3 pin 2.5mm dont work at all... no reaction at all.
the same with redbox: the 4pin cable seems to work stating:
Ready..
Power On phone...OK
Loading Boot...Error!
the 3 pin lg510 cable no reaction at all.
There is some neweer software versions that it does not support I have done 8 no problem and then just the one had integer overflow error every time .

Can you plz tell me if the error above occurs is regarding the fone or the version or else as it happens frequently for me i have changed many computers as well as the operating systems but get No Luck what so ever for that. :(
Any ideas what might be the problem :confused: or the solution :)

Have made cable from powered lg510 - working fine.... nec21 etc did not work. Have managed to successfully unlock first o2x2 but second fone giving integer error.
Running XP
error at 85% (damn - so close)
Any news on this problem....?

I have downloaded today the latest version of the benq/02x2 soft & tried it on a uk 02x2, this time it goes through a lot further but still fails on "integer error"

I didnt chk the sw ver.... however... After getting the integer overflow error I assumed that it had not done it. The customer tried their T-mobile sim and the phone was actually unlocked and working.
So for those ppl who are getting the error (mine went to 85%) try a sim it may have unlocked it despite the error message.
